BAD EDUCATION

"Most Idiotic Gender Bender Nonsense"

What You Need To Know:

BAD EDUCATION is an acclaimed gender-bender thriller from Spain about a film director, Enrique, who earlier in life was separated from his young boyfriend, Ignacio, at a Catholic school by a jealous priest, who tried to abuse Ignacio. Years later, Ignacio arrives at Enrique’s office. Enrique has no current acting jobs, but Ignacio leaves him with a manuscript that tells what happened to Ignacio after Enrique disappeared. As Enrique reads the story, he learns that Ignacio became a two-bit cross-dressing actress and heroin addict, calling himself Zahara. In the story, Zahara tries to blackmail the priest. The movie eventually takes several dark twists as Enrique discovers what really happened to Ignacio and the priest.

The director of BAD EDUCATION knows the elements of the film noir thriller, but BAD EDUCATION is one of those critically acclaimed movies that lacks heart and soul. In fact, the movie is quite boring until the twists in the story begin to multiply. By then, of course, it is too late. Only pro-homosexual, liberal and atheist critics and moviegoers will enjoy this lewd movie, which includes graphic homosexual sex scenes, strong foul language, nudity, and anti-Christian content.

More Detail:

BAD EDUCATION is an acclaimed gender-bender thriller from Spain about a film director, Enrique, who earlier in life was separated from his young boyfriend, Ignacio, at a Catholic school by a jealous priest, who tried to abuse Ignacio. Years later, Ignacio arrives at Enrique’s office. Enrique has no current acting jobs, but Ignacio leaves him with a manuscript that tells what happened to Ignacio after Enrique disappeared.

As Enrique reads the story, he learns that Ignacio became a two-bit cross-dressing actress and heroin addict, now called Zahara, who tries to blackmail the priest. At this point, the movie becomes a film within a film. Enrique decides that Ignacio’s story will be his next movie, but Ignacio blackmails him for the part of Zahara. Eventually, the movie takes several dark surprising twists as Enrique discovers what really happened to Ignacio and the priest.

Director Pedro Almodovar clearly understands the elements of the American film noir thriller he tries to mimic, but BAD EDUCATION is one of those critically acclaimed movies that lacks heart and soul. In fact, the movie is quite boring until the twists in the story begin to multiply. By then, of course, it is too late. Even then, also, the movie has no clear, interesting premise driving the plot. Thus, only pro-homosexual, liberal and atheist critics and moviegoers will enjoy this lewd movie, which includes graphic homosexual sex scenes, strong foul language, nudity, and anti-Christian content.

Gael García Bernal (THE MOTORCYCLE DIARIES and Y TU MAMA TAMBIEN), who plays the cross-dressing actress in the film within the film, as well as Ignacio and Ignacio’s brother, continues to be an unappealing actor with little talent. His performance as the cross-dressing actress is just annoying, and his other performances are very bland. Apparently, he is just skating by on his good looks, which are his primary attraction to moviegoers, especially homosexual males and women.
