More Detail:

Four siblings, their spouses and families have been waiting for years for their old, wealthy, mean Uncle Joe to die and leave them all his money in the film GREEDY. The brothers and sisters are ruthless in their attempts to make each other look terrible in front of their Uncle, so that they will become the most-favored relative and receive most of his money. Then, they discover Uncle Joe has a 20-year-old woman living with him and send for their cousin, Daniel McTeague (Michael J. Fox), who has been Uncle Joe’s favorite, to convince Uncle Joe to keep the money in the family. Daniel lives with his girlfriend. They are not married, but are shown in bed together. Soon, everyone learns that Uncle Joe has no money, and they are outraged. However, Daniel decides to stay with him anyway. The situation changes again, and Daniel learns that Uncle Joe was testing them to see who really cared about him.

The story attempts to show the stupidity of those obsessed with money and how ridiculous one can act when greed is his driving motive, but at times it is unclear as to whose intentions are bad and whose are good. The film contains many obscenities, vulgarities and sexual innuendos and fails on other issues of morality as well, insinuating that greed is by far the worst characteristic one can have, and that if you are not greedy, then it doesn’t matter what you do..
