Christian Film Expert and Publisher Dr. Ted Baehr Will Give Keynote Speech at August Writer’s Conference in Idaho
Dr. Ted Baehr, founder and publisher of www.movieguide.org and Movieguide®, will be the “Honored Guest of the Year” at the Pacific NW Christian Writer’s Conference in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on August 20 to 21, 2010.
Dr. Baehr’s special appearance and keynote at Saturday evening’s Red Carpet Gala and dinner celebrates him as “Honored Guest of the Year.”
The Christian Writer’s Conference also introduces author Clint Kelly, SPU professor director of it’s Christian writer’s conference in Seattle Washington. Mr. Kelly keynotes the Friday evening special address. Other special guests include editors and authors.
Workshop titles include fiction, non-fiction, screen writing, writing for children, devotionals and more. There will be a 15-minute consultation for attendees throughout the two-day affair.
The $165 registration fee includes the two days conference, Friday’s brunch, coffee breaks and Friday evening Keynote The Saturday evening Red Carpet Gala with Dr. Baehr is $25 attendees, $35 others.
Manuscript submissions must be sent by August 15th. Poetry, scripts, book manuscripts ($15 per five-page series).
Judges will select ‘Best of Show’ with trophies and awards to winner.

Dr. Baehr is Publisher of Movieguide®: The Family Guide to Movies and Entertainment. Movieguide® offers in-depth analyses of current movies from a biblical perspective. Baehr makes himself available to address hundreds of churches and civic groups each year.
In 2005, Ted was appointed Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Christian Institute for the Study of Media, a new area of graduate academic studies currently being advanced under the auspices of the Center for the Arts, Religion and Education (CARE), an affiliated Center of the Graduate Theological Union (GTU) in Berkeley, California.
Ted’s work has been featured in such publications as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Time Magazine, USA Today, The L.A. Times, The Washington Post, Hollywood Reporter, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and U.S. News and World Report.
Christian Film & Television Commission® sponsors the Annual Movieguide® Faith & Values Awards Gala and Report to the Entertainment Industry, which includes two $100,000 Epiphany Prizes for the Most Inspiring Movie and Most Inspiring TV Program as well as the $50,000 Kairos Prize Contest for Spiritually Uplifting Screenplays by Beginning Screenwriters.
