What You Need To Know:
The ending to this macabre movie is depressing. Also, there are numerous, often lengthy shots of Anna’s naked torso throughout AFTER.LIFE. It also contains a sex scene and plenty of strong foul language. Clearly, the movie’s ending and voyeurism, not to mention its bloody violent images and foul language, are abhorrent.

(PaPaPa, OO, C, B, LLL, VVV, SS, NNN, A, DD, MM) Very strong voyeuristic, pagan worldview with strong occult implications and incidental Christian, biblical references; 28 obscenities (many “f” words) three strong profanities and five light profanities; very scary, sometimes extreme violence with blood includes bloody wounds, images of corpses, man sews up woman’s bloody wound, two car crashes, woman threatens man with knife, woman trashes room, man drugs woman with paralytic drug, woman buried alive tries to claw her way out of coffin; depicted fornication in one scene, and man considers necrophilia but funeral director interrupts and stops him; numerous shots of upper female nudity, brief shots of rear female nudity, and upper male nudity in one or two scenes; alcohol use; man drugs woman with paralytic drug; and, lying, woman held against her will, woman buried alive, couple argues, and man imagines he talks to dead people but it’s unclear whether they talk back or not.

AFTER.LIFE [sic] is a lurid horror movie about a young woman trapped in funeral home by a psycho funeral director.
The movie opens with a young man, Paul, having an argument with his live-in girlfriend, Anna. Paul wants to propose to her so she can follow him to a new job in Chicago, but when he starts telling her about the new job, she thinks he wants to dump her.
Upset, Anna runs off and gets into a terrible traffic accident. She is pronounced dead but finds out at the funeral home she can still move around and even talk with the funeral director, Eliot. “I’m not dead,” she tells him. “That’s what they all say,” he replies.
Well, it turns out that Anna really is still alive. Paul also starts to believe she’s alive, but can he save her in time before she’s buried alive?
The ending to AFTER.LIFE is depressing. Also, there are numerous, often lengthy shots of Anna’s naked breasts as she lies on the mortician’s table or moves around. There is even a scene where Paul has a nightmare of a bloody wound running down the middle of Anna’s nude torso. Finally, the movie contains a scene of depicted sex between Anna and Paul as well as lots of strong foul language.
Clearly, the movie’s ending and its voyeurism, not to mention its bloody images and foul language, are abhorrent.
