SAW 3D is the goriest SAW movie yet, but the violence is unrelentingly boring, repetitious and predictable. Even the 3D effects, which consist mostly of throwing things in the viewer’s face, become a bore. One of the problems is that none of the torture traps set by the villain allow any of the victims a real chance to escape. Thus, nearly all sense of suspense is gone. SAW 3D is one of the most poorly made modern horror films ever created. It’s also one of the vilest ever made.

(PaPaPa, LLL, VVV, SS, N, A, DD, MMM) Very strong pagan worldview that’s an ultra, ultra, ultra violent, repetitious tale of revenge; at least 61 obscenities (mostly “f” words), five GDs and 11 light profanities; ultra, ultra, ultra violence with lots of flying blood and gore includes many sadomasochistic torture devices where bodies and heads are torn apart, woman sawed in half, woman’s neck is pierced, woman’s eyes and mouth are pierced, plainclothes detective shot in eye, villain shoots and murders other policemen, trapped woman burns to death, and an explosion is used as a diversion; strong undertone of sadomasochism throughout plus references to young woman’s promiscuity with two men; upper male nudity and some female cleavage; brief alcohol use; no smoking but police visit a place frequented by junkies but nothing really shown; and, revenge, lying is brutally rebuked by an evil vigilante, woman’s deceptive cheating is also brutally rebuked by vigilante, and two vigilantes are brutally punished but a third one appears to finish off the second one as the movie ends.

SAW 3D is unrelentingly horrid, stiflingly repetitious and insanely boring. The movie’s poster is labeled “The Final Chapter.” We hope so, but we doubt it.
The story is an even more boring tale of revenge. Detective Hoffman and the dead Jigsaw killer’s wife, Jill, have just finished carrying out Jigsaw’s revenge against the health insurance company that denied him coverage. But, Jigsaw posthumously ordered Jill to set a deadly trap for Hoffman to teach him a lesson. Hoffman escapes the trap, however. Now, bent on revenge, Hoffman is trying to get Jill’s police protection away from her by kidnapping and testing a writer who falsely claims that he escaped one of Jigsaw’s torture traps.
