DARWIN’S DILEMMA

DARWIN’S DILEMMA is a remarkable documentary movie showing in clear factual, scientific terms that Darwin understood the primary weakness of his theory of evolution. As the paleontologist Stephen J. Gould says, “The fossil record had caused Darwin more grief than joy. Nothing distressed him more than the Cambrian Explosion.” Darwin fretted over the Cambrian Explosion all of his life. Surprisingly, the Chinese scientists are more honest about it. Discoveries in China in 1984 have confirmed the unique quality of the Cambrian Explosion.

Darwin himself said that the Cambrian Explosion contradicts evolution and hoped a geologist would find ancestors of the many phyla that appeared at that time.
