IRREPLACEABLE

"Protect Marriage and the Family!"

Watch:

What You Need To Know:

IRREPLACEABLE is a Focus on the Family documentary that questions how society views family. Guy works for Focus on the Family in New Zealand. He has a wonderful family, but he wants to know how to protect them. Guy decides to fly around the world and talk to experts about how and why the meaning of family is changing. The first thing Guy realizes is that the so-called “sexual revolution” has changed how people interact intimately. In turn, this has hurt the institution of marriage because it’s decreased its importance. Guy finds that because the importance of marriage has diminished, children have suffered.

Playing in theaters on May 6, IRREPLACEABLE does a good job highlighting the issues of our modern day. The movie stresses we need God as our Father, who will redeem us in this broken world. Even in the Christian community, divorce is rampant, so Christian individuals must commit to being a selfless husband, father, wife, and mother. IRREPLACEABLE has some tearful, touching parts. The cinematography is shaky and not always sharp. Overall, however, IRREPLACEABLE is a worthwhile, important documentary.

Guy works for Focus on the Family in New Zealand. He has a wonderful family, but in this changing world he wants to know how to protect them. Guy decides to fly around the world and talk to experts about how and why the meaning of family is changing.

The first thing Guy realizes is that the so-called “sexual revolution” has changed how people interact intimately and has created a “Hook-up Culture.” The “Hook-Up Culture” is when people flippantly have sexual intercourse. The “Hook-Up Culture” is so rampant largely because women can have sexual intercourse without having children because of birth control. In turn, this has hurt the institution of changed marriage because it has decreased its importance.

Guy finds that because the importance of marriage has diminished, children have suffered. Not only are people having less children, but they are getting divorced early in their children’s lives. Many studies show that children need a mother and a father, but much of the time fathers aren’t involved because of the lack of a committed relationship with the mother.

Playing for one night in theaters on May 6, IRREPLACEABLE has some tearful, touching parts. The cinematography is very shaky and not always sharp. Even so, IRREPLACEABLE is a worthwhile documentary. The discussion, however, is meant for mature audiences, for older children and adults.
