Is GOD’S NOT DEAD 2 Anti-Communist?

Is GOD’S NOT DEAD 2 Anti-Communist?

By David Outten, Production Editor

The movie GOD’S NOT DEAD 2 deals with the lack of religious freedom in America’s public schools. It exposes the intimidation of Christians in schools operated by the government. President Obama recently congratulated Cuban president Fidel Castro on his Communist dictatorship’s “free” education for all.

Speaking to a group of young people in Argentina President Obama said, “So often in the past there has been a division between left and right, between capitalists and communists or socialists, and especially in the Americas, that’s been a big debate. Those are interesting intellectual arguments, but I think for your generation, you should be practical and just choose from what works. You don’t have to worry about whether it really fits into socialist theory or capitalist theory. You should just decide what works.”

He proceeded to say he congratulated Cuban President Fidel Castro on his “successes” in education and health care. He said Cuba has not had as great success in producing prosperity because the market system works better.

The implication is that Communism works best in education and health care and the “market system” works better in providing good cars, homes and cell phones. The president would have the government decide what to allow private enterprise to do.

GOD’S NOT DEAD 2 is fictional, but there are growing numbers of actions by schools that are very close to the fictional storyline. This is the case because too few Americans learn the difference between Socialist theory (Karl Marx) and free enterprise theory (Adam Smith, etc.).

“Free” Education sounds good, but it’s not if it’s really just indoctrination. Widespread literacy is great, but not if you can’t read certain books because of their “dangerous” religious or political ideas.

In a “free” school, the government can outlaw prayer. In a “free” school, the government can teach that God is dead, man is just matter, and God’s laws are a form of bigotry. Add to this that the “free” schools are not free. The government taxes citizens to provide some of the most expensive education in the world, yet tolerates horrendous failures. Parents, who pay taxes, get virtually no say in their children’s education, unless they pay for the public schools and a private or home school education.

Socialist/Communist theory does matter. In its founding document, THE COMMUNIST MANIFESTO, Karl Marx called for:

1) Abolition of private property

2) Abolition of individuality and freedom

3) Abolition of the family

4) Abolition of all borders, countries and nations

5) Abolition of all eternal truths, religion and morality

GOD’S NOT DEAD 2 is about a school where freedom to even mention Jesus in a positive manner has been abolished, but consider how this relates to Communist theory.

The school is not private property. The property and the education itself are government owned.

Freedom to share one’s individual beliefs is threatened.

The schools include growing numbers of students from broken homes.

Public schools teach a curriculum that favors “global solutions.”

Communism is not dead. Happily, neither is God.

You can remove prayer and the Ten Commandments from the public schools, but you can never remove God’s authority over life on earth. You can never make dishonesty, greed, and promiscuity beneficial to society. Respect for God’s law improved everything from health, to education and to prosperity.

At its very core, Communism is a hatred of the freedom God created mankind to experience. Communism is about control.

Those who made GOD’S NOT DEAD 2 may never have considered their movie anticommunist, but the religious freedom case at the heart of the story is very much about the government seeking to intimidate Christians and prevent their religious beliefs from being shared in a public setting.
