A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS

Watch:

What You Need To Know:

In the animated classic, A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS, Charlie Brown wonders why he feels sad despite the Christmas season. Charlie’s friend Linus asserts that he needs something productive to understand the reason for the season. Lucy dubs Charlie the director of the Christmas play, but Charlie picks a scrawny Christmas tree that his friends mock. Linus reminds Charlie Brown and everyone that the true meaning of Christmas is the birth of the Savior, Jesus Christ.

A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS contains much of the wonderful spirit of the PEANUTS comic strip created by Charles Schultz. The music fits the onscreen action to a tee, and the animation is priceless. The voice actors are perfect. The animated short has many Christmas carols and stresses the value of serving others during Christmas. A few times, characters call each other stupid, and Lucy and Snoopy get into a tiff, but these elements are comical and don’t cast a shadow on the sweet story. Best of all, A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS has a very strong Christian, biblical worldview that focuses on celebrating the birth of Jesus.

More Detail:

CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS is a superb family Christmas movie. In the classic animated short, Charlie Brown wonders why he feels sad despite the Christmas season. Charlie’s friend Linus asserts that he needs something productive and service-oriented to understand the reason for the season.

Starting the movie, Lucy dubs Charlie the director of the Christmas play. All of Charlie’s friends and familiar faces like Lucy, Snoopy, Patty, Pig-Pen, and more participate. After the first rehearsal, Charlie and Linus pick out a rather unassuming, scrawny Christmas tree that his friends later mock.

Linus, determined to get Charlie to understand why Christmas matters, recites the Christmas story about Jesus’s birth found in the Gospel of Luke. Shortly afterwards, Charlie goes home with his Christmas tree and his friends come by, decorate it and sing “Hark the Herald Angels Sing.”

A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS will give audiences of the beloved Peanuts Comics nostalgia. The music in the movie follows on screen action to a tee and the cartoon animation is priceless.

A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS upholds a very strong Christian, biblical worldview. It stresses celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ rather than commercialization. Positively, the movie has many Christmas carols throughout and stresses the value of serving others during Christmastime.
