Pastor’s Daughter Victory Brinker Could ‘Win It All’ on AGT

By Movieguide® Staff

Opera singer Victory Brinker, a 9-year-old, became a fan favorite on season 16 of AMERICA’S GOT TALENT.

In the latest episode, Brinker amazed crowds with her performance of “Casta Diva,” and received the rare Golden Buzzer from all the AGT judges during her earlier auditions.

Born in Pennsylvania to her father, Eric, who pastors Impact Life Church in Greensburg, and her mother Christine, Victory’s love for singing started as early as 5-years-old.

Victory is one of 11 siblings and is one of the nine whom Eric and Christine adopted.

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported:

The Brinkers adopted nine of their 11 children, including Victory, and Christine home-schools most of them. Four came from Guatemala and one has special needs. All were open adoptions and the children maintain relationships with their birth parents, if possible. Victory, their eighth child, was born in a large Midwestern city.

“We literally prayed for Victory,” Christine says. “We knew God was going to give us another one. He gave us the name Victory.”

According to Victory’s parents, their daughter is talented and ambitious, traits that have not gone unnoticed by her vocal coach and the judges on AGT.

“I said OK, she has something …. Victory is just driven. She watches things and takes them in and works really hard on her own,” Victory’s vocal coach Desiree Soteres said.

Cowell said that Brinker could become the face of opera, just as Carrie Underwood became the face of country music after her run on Season 4 of AMERICAN IDOL.

“I didn’t understand a lot about country music when I first met Carrie but you do know a star when you hear one and meet somebody,” Cowell told PEOPLE. “I think same with Victory about how little I know about opera and classical music — not much.”

“I think [Victory] is a genuine, genuine star. I can see her making records, concerts, movies, everything. She’s got something special about her. She is incredibly talented. She was fantastic on the audition show but she was outstanding tonight,” Cowell added.

For Victory, she is all smiles and is “confident” that she “could win it all,” she told PEOPLE.

Other AGT judges also gave Victory props for her live performances.

“You have the most amazing gift. It almost sounds like it’s not real, it almost sounds like it’s not coming from you. I would say that you are the cherry on top of an amazing night tonight,” Heidi Klum said.
