Live Action’s Lila Rose Stands for the ‘Right to Life’ on DR. PHIL: ‘Laws Are Meant to Protect the Weak’

Lila Rose, the founder of Live Action and pro-life proponent, recently appeared on an episode of DR. PHIL where she stood for truth despite the audience and Dr. Phil’s arguments for pro-choice.
“You just want to legislate evil,” an audience member told Rose after she and the rest of the panel discussed whether or not a 10-year-old rape survivor should be able to get an abortion.
“There is nothing you could possibly say to justify that level of lack of empathy,” the woman continued. “We were founded on the lack of empathy, and we’ve just kept up on that tradition.”
However, Rose said the baby is an innocent third party, and previous circumstances justify murder.
Rose also brought up how abortion also negatively affects the mother’s health.
“Abortion is devastating to women’s mental health,” Rose explained. “No one talks about that.”
“The trauma is from the rape. The child is an innocent party there,” Rose added.
The conversation came following the recent Supreme Court ruling, which overturned Roe v. Wade, a landmark case in 1973 that legalized abortion across America.
Rose said that the greatest human right is the right to life, not the right of abortion.
“Our fundamental human right that we all share in this room is life. It’s the first human right,” she said. “Laws are meant to protect the weak. In a society, who’s the weakest? Who’s the weakest in society? A child. They don’t have a voice; they can’t speak.”
“Whether we live 10 minutes or 100 years, you’re a human life, and you have the right to not be killed,” she added. “And that’s what the pro-life fight is all about.”
Dr. Phil, who usually plays the role of moderator for debate and discussion in areas of politics, also chimed in, noting that there is no medical consensus on when life begins.
Rose firmly rebutted Dr. Phil’s statement, which was met with more push back from the show’s host.
Dr Phil: "There is no consensus amongst the scientific community that life begins at conception"
Lila: That's simply inaccurate. 96% of biologists affirm this fact.
