(NA, B, L, S, Ho, AB) Secularized morality; 4 obscenities; frequent sexual innuendo & older woman flirts with young boys; lesbian girl has crush on unsuspecting friend; and, family’s non-religious, clean-living morality is mocked, but ultimately triumphs.
More Detail:
Regrettably, the movie equates the Brady family’s basic moral decency with stupidity. Mike and Carol Brady, oblivious to innuendo, think of warm coats when Marcia’s date says he has “protection.” When Marcia is tossed out of a boy’s car for turning down his sexual proposition, he drives away, shouting, “Bradys suck!” Also oblivious, Marcia fails to realize that her best friend is a lesbian and has a crush on her. Overall, the “Brady way” wins the day. However, their moral “perfection” is strictly human and not based in any religious conviction. Along with the amount of sexual innuendo presented, this movie is not for children, just light, dumb fun for nostalgia-minded older teenagers and adults who remember the TV show.
