CLEAN SHAVEN

What You Need To Know:

CLEAN SHAVEN is a bizarre psychological drama chronicling the behavior of a man the filmmaker implies may be a schizophrenic serial killer. The movie is morally and spiritually lacking, void of any positive content, and its entertainment value is likewise severely marred by disturbing violence, foul language and fornication, not to mention the confusion of unaddressed plot elements.

Content:

(H, LL, VVV, SSS, M) Humanism reflecting the twisted, murderous behavior of a dangerous schizophrenic; 25 obscenities; a bloody shooting & deeply disturbing scenes of self-mutilation; gratuitous fornication scene (without nudity); and, graphically chilling autopsy.

More Detail:

Set in what appears to be a rural seaport town, CLEAN SHAVEN is a bizarre psychological drama chronicling the behavior of a man the filmmaker implies may be a schizophrenic serial killer. Peter Greene plays Peter Winter, a deeply disturbed and tormented man whose mind is tortured with uncontrollable thoughts to murder children. He is also obsessed with locating his daughter, lost to him as an infant to adoption and now deliberately kept from him. While the movie portrays Peter’s schizophrenic behavior and implies that Peter is a serial killer of children, the filmmaker chooses not to tell for sure.

Unlike the storyline, the quality of the production is excellent. Lodge Kerrigan’s directing is very creative. Interesting camera angles enhance the effect of the film, and rapid scene changes are attention grabbers. The acting is equally good. Peter Greene is superb as the disturbed Peter Winter, his anxiety literally and physically felt throughout the movie. As might be imagined, this movie is morally and spiritually lacking, void of any positive content. Its entertainment value is likewise severely marred by disturbing violence, foul language and fornication, not to mention the confusion of unaddressed plot elements.
