Trace Cyrus Slams OnlyFans, Doubles Down After Criticism

Trace Cyrus, brother of pop star Miley Cyrus, recently criticized the porn site OnlyFans and has not backed down from his statements despite the backlash.
“There’s so many girls that do Only Fans that have lost their chance of ever settling down with a good guy with morals,” Cyrus posted on X. “They will try and call those men insecure for having standards. They get a lot of attention from guys on OF so they think they have options.”
He argues that posting on the primarily pornographic website—worth more than $1 billion—will only attract the wrong type of men who use them solely for sex.
“I see a lot of these girls speaking out on this now saying they can’t get a serious relationship. They don’t look at those women and equate their value as a future wife, mother, or loyal partner,” the 34-year-old musician stated.

Cyrus also criticized the “independent mindset of not needing a man” as “extremely toxic” while encouraging more women to speak out against Only Fans and its dangers.
He ended the post by extolling family and healthy relationships, stating, “Having a good man and a family will bring you more happiness in old age than OF ever could.”
This drew the ire of many X users, one writing, “Genuinely curious: why do you care? Live and let live. No need to project.”
One person, per the Los Angeles Times, called Cyrus’ post a “sexist rant.”
“To me, the real problem is the completely one-dimensional way men like Trace Cyrus are proudly viewing women and speaking about it as if they truly care about women’s happiness,” wrote Laura Masia on Pedestrian.TV.
But Cyrus doubled down on his initial post on X by replying, “I didn’t post this to cause people to freak out or anything,” he said. “I thought what I said was pretty much common sense, and everyone knew this.”
He responded by saying, “I stand by everything I said. I don’t care what anybody thinks.”
Not all replies were negative. Michael Grenier replied, “Trace speaks wisely here. The trolls will screech, but he is speaking truth,” adding Proverb 27:6: “The wounds of a friend are faithful…’”
The Daily Wire’s Brett Cooper came to his defense on her podcast “The Comments Section With Brett Cooper.”
“I have no problem with that whatsoever. Like he hit every single nail on the head,” she said. “He hit every single point succinctly and with kindness…like this was not some angry, bitter or spiteful post. [H]e genuinely seems concerned, but people did not take it well, of course.”
Cooper argued that a key to healthy relationships is how women view themselves and if they take responsibility for their choices rather than blaming men.
“Yes, it’s a free country. Do whatever you want but don’t get angry down the road when you realize that you sacrificed your self respectt and your reputation,” she explained.
Cooper continued, “I feel like that’s what he’s trying to warn girls about, and in my opinion, that is more important than how a man views you because we have to live with our choices and ourselves forever.”
Former OnlyFans star Blac Chyna, who now goes by her birth name Angela White, left that career after deciding to follow Christ, Movieguide® previously reported:
