Former Nickelodeon Star Kel Mitchell Challenges Followers to ‘Surrender All’ to God

Comedian and former Nickelodeon star Kel Mitchell challenged his Instagram followers to “surrender everything to God.”
“You see the wanted posters, and you see a cowboy with [a] snarling look. It says wanted and then a reward at the bottom. Well look, God is doing the same. He’s got imposters out. He’s looking for you. He’s seeking you. You are wanted by God,” he shared.
“What we need to do is surrender, and when I say surrender, I mean surrender all,” Mitchell said. “Then we get the reward, and that reward is blessings, grace and eternal inheritance. There are so many blessings. So, surrender all today. You say you surrender some things to God but not everything. Surrender it all.”
The actor captioned the video, “Riding into God’s embrace like a cowboy on the run! Surrender = Love, Blessings, and Eternal Treasures.”
Screen Rant reported that Mitchell became a pastor in 2019 “and has since been outspoken about his personal faith. Mitchell became a youth pastor at Spirit Food Christian Center in Winnetka, Los Angeles in December 2019, but that has not stopped him from continuing his interest in acting. In a recent interview with Today, Mitchell opened up about how his faith had gotten him through his volatile journey of fame in Hollywood as well as helped him overcome mental health issues.”
Despite the trials, he knew God was always with him.
He told TODAY.com, “times of going through depression, suicidal thoughts, all these different things, and working on shows at the same time, God was there.”
“Similar to Robin Williams when he was doing characters and bringing happiness to us all, right, same way with the characters that I was doing,” he added. “I was bringing happiness within it but going through my own battles, you know?”
Now, the pastor is working on a GOOD BURGER reboot with his ALL THAT and KENAN & KEL co-star Kenan Thompson.
“GOOD BURGER 2 will mark the feature film reunion of the two old friends. The GOOD BURGER sequel, which was primarily filmed in Providence, Rhode Island, will be available to stream exclusively on Paramount Plus in late November 2023,” Screen Rant wrote.

However, Mitchell took the opportunity to quote scripture and pray with his former GOOD BURGER co-star.
