Anne Wilson Prays New Music Video Brings ‘Hope and Peace’

Anne Wilson just debuted the music video for her latest single, “Rain In The Rearview.”
The video shows three different versions of the singer — one driving her car in the pouring rain, one standing in the storm and one driving towards the unknown.
“The three versions of me and the perspectives of all three were so accurate to how my life has been,” Wilson said of the video’s imagery. “We all go through different seasons and sometimes need the reminder that we can leave our past behind us.”
Wilson posted about the video on Instagram, writing, “This video was so much fun to shoot…I love getting to tell the story of this song visually and artistically in this way. Thank you to everyone who helped bring this song and video to life. I am so grateful and hope y’all LOVE it!!!”
“Rain In The Rearview” was inspired by the loss of Wilson’s brother.
“Everything in my life shifted, and I now know what I want to live for while I’m here,” the singer told CMT. “When you go through something hard, you realize what’s important in life, and for me, that was sharing my faith with the world.”
Wilson called the video shoot “so special” and said she was “genuinely just blown away” by the final product.
“I pray that this message brings you hope and peace as you come to terms with leaving your past behind you and stepping into what’s next,” she said of the song and video.

“Right after my brother passed away and I was called into music by God, I just had this feeling,” she said on the “Holy Mess” podcast. “I don’t want to be fake, and I don’t just want to be another artist; I want to be vulnerable and real because that’s what impacts people.”
Wilson emphasized that “God can use anyone and do anything with anyone,” adding, “To see how He’s taken me, out of anyone he could have chosen…it’s just so humbling.”
“It’s also bittersweet in a sense, because I wouldn’t be here today without the loss of my brother,” she continued. “And I would trade it all to have him back…I’m so grateful for what I get to do, but I really miss my brother at the same time.”
