MEN IN BLACK may be a sophist’s dream, but it will a moral American’s nightmare. With abundant foul language, this is an in-your-face Blues Brothers-go-alien-busting. Based on an obscure comic book, MEN IN BLACK features a super-secret agency which keeps aliens in line. These are not illegal immigrants; rather these are ugly extraterrestrials who are living on earth as a result of an intergalactic agreement wherein Earth has offered to serve as a safe zone for political refugees from other galaxies. When Men in Black agent K, played by Tommy Lee Jones, has to find a new partner, he chooses New York Police Officer James Edwards, played by Will Smith, which becomes agent J. J and K have to stop an invading bug who threatens to destroy the galaxy. As they do so, the audience is confronted by foul language, wise cracks, grotesqueries, slime, and cynicism.

The acting, dialogue and direction in this sci-fi film noir are excellent. The New Age worldview with its cynical attitude is perverse. There are no real heroes in MEN IN BLACK because life is not valued. Instead, these protagonists are merely able men doing a dirty job in a decadent universe. People without God may enjoy this parody of alien invasion movies, but most people, who are snookered by the ads into seeing it, will find it repulsive
