Sadie Robertson Huff Explains What Happens When We Trust God’s Process

By Movieguide® Contributor

Sadie Robertson Huff is reminding us that, without God, material objects and success mean nothing.

“The process to the promised land is so essential, because you could be at the promised land and not be ready for the promised land because you didn’t go through the process that, even though you’re in the promised land, you’re still acting like a slave,” Huff said in a clip shared to her Live Original ministry account.

She continued, “I think that’s what happens when people think, like, ‘Oh, if I just get famous, if I just have all these followers and all this money,’ and all the sudden you get to the promised land, and you’re still broken. You get to the promised land. You struggle more than ever because you got to the promised land, but your heart was still the heart of a slave. And so God was like, ‘No, no, no, there’s a process to get there. We’re not just gonna get to the promised land. I gotta show you who I am on the way there so that you know that, really, the promised land is there. But the promise is me.’

“You could have everything in the world, but if you don’t have Him, you have nothing,” Huff emphasized.

Huff’s LO ministry “was started with the goal to be a sister and a friend to those who don’t have one,” the organization’s website reads. “My hope is that through all of our different platforms your love for God and people will grow and your knowledge of His love for you will blow you away. You were originally created by intentional design in the image of God, and I hope your confidence in that will continue to grow, so that you can be all that He created you to be.”

In addition to her work with LO and as a public speaker, Huff is also preparing for the release of her latest book, “The Next Step: 50 Devotions To Find Your Way Forward.”

“I’ve been so blessed to be surrounded by SO many incredible people with such great wisdom!” she wrote on Instagram. “As y’all know I love hearing any piece of advice people have to offer and I really cherish the wisdom I am able to gain from people, and of course the wisdom I gain from the Bible! The ultimate WHOA THAT’S GOOD BOOK!”

Huff’s post continued, “The Next Step was written through the framework of the Bible’s Wisdom Books — Psalms, Proverbs, Song of Solomon, Job, and Ecclesiastes. I hope that this book helps you learn that the word of God can help guide all of your steps. Stick around to find out more about the book tomorrow! I’m so excited for it to be here in November!”

Movieguide® previously reported on Huff’s faith:

Sadie Robertson Huff is sharing a Bible story that has had a profound impact on her.

“God actually could show up and prove [He is real] to you,” she said in a recent sermon. “He could bring a fire from the sky right now, and we’re like, ‘Yep, He’s real.’ He could enlighten our eyes to see the angels around us, and we’d be like, ‘Totally real.’”

Huff then pointed to the story of Josiah, saying, “I just love that, in Josiah’s day, it wasn’t an angel appearing to him, it wasn’t fire falling from the sky — although God has done that, He could do that, He’s perfectly capable and able to — but it was just the discovery of the Word that changed everything. That was all they needed to know.”

“How do I know God is real?” she asked her audience. “Because I know this story, and this story has changed me.”
