Fans around the world are excited for DUCK DYNASTY: THE REVIVAL, but Korie Robertson recently revealed which family members were a little hesitant to return to the world of reality TV.

“Everyone kind of came at it differently,” she told TV Insider. “Our younger kids just remember all the fun. Will [Robertson] and Bella [Robertson Mayo], they were young enough that it was just all fun. They got to be with their cousins all the time. John Luke [Robertson] and Sadie [Robertson Huff] were a little older. It was their teen years when this was happening. So they definitely experienced maybe a little bit more of the hard sides of fame as teenagers.”

Korie explained that it “took [John Luke and Sadie] a minute to really think it through,” but they both eventually agreed to appear on the show.

“We all have really good, busy lives already,” she said. “Things felt good as to where we were in life, so we’re like, ‘Is doing another show going to mess that up in any way?’ Everything in life, especially the big things, we go in with a lot of prayer. So we did have family meetings where we all sat around and talked about it and prayed about it. We wouldn’t be doing it if every single one [of us] weren’t like, ‘Yes, we’re in, we want to do this.’”

Robertson called the time spent together as a family “such a gift,” adding, “Our kids get to have these special moments with their grandparents and Uncle Si, aunts and uncles, and that’s been really sweet this time around, too.”

In an interview with The New York Post, Korie shared that the family “didn’t necessarily think we were going to come back to television,” but they “came together and really prayed about it,” ultimately deciding to agree to the revival.

Robertson’s husband, Willie, also spoke about the family’s decision to star in DUCK DYNASTY: THE REVIVAL, joking, “We were getting bored.”

“We want to be in every space we can, to be able to show people the love of Christ, the light that we have that we can reflect that, and I think television is a great way to do that,” he told The Christian Post. “Hopefully, we’ve inspired others to do that, as we’ve been inspired as well by others who have put that out there in a different way.”

Willie continued, “It’s a different way to get the message out. You don’t have to be in a pulpit to share the Gospel. A show like this can influence culture. It’s like the New Testament; small stories, but they change the world.”

DUCK DYNASTY fans can’t wait to see what new adventures the Robertson clan get up to in the new episodes!
