Twitch livestreamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins recently discussed his and his wife’s ongoing faith journey as he works to have more control over his emotions and act less hypocritical.

“[My wife] and I are going through this journey, where, y’know, our relationship with God and Jesus…we’re going to church every Sunday,” Blevins said.

“I find myself being hypocritical a lot of the times, and I don’t like that about myself,” he continued. “I also look back at a lot of things that I did in the past – now, listen, I’m not saying I regret things in the past. Obviously, there are things that I do, but, like, I can’t keep trying to better myself and try to live biblically and also in the meanwhile, tell somebody I could buy their f****** bank and foreclose their house.”

“The point I’m trying to make…it’s a lot easier to combat negativity with negativity and just roast these people that are roasting me back…you know what I mean? But I just don’t want to do that anymore,” Blevins added.”

Belvins comments about his continued faith journey come after declaring “Jesus is King” in March. During that time, he explained that his relationship with the Lord comes from a desire to better himself and change his behavior.

“We don’t need something like the threat of the end times to start becoming better humans and developing a relationship with the Lord. You know what I mean dude… I can confidently say, I feel like I’m all around a better person and in a better mindset since I started praying every night,” Blevins told his audience in March. “The most important thing I preach personally is that you just gotta love everybody. And I mean everybody. It’s all about respect and never belittling someone else’s faith, no matter what it is.”

Blevins came to fame in 2018 due to his high-level Fortnite gameplay, a game that became extremely popular after its release earlier that year. He became so popular that he was invited into the mainstream media circle, making multiple appearances on talk shows and news segments. However, with long hours on stream and the stress of entertaining such a large audience, he has made questionable decisions in the past, breaking down on stream or yelling at his opponents.

Though his impact on internet culture is now much smaller than it was in 2018, he continues to pull thousands of viewers every stream, and as he goes on a faith journey and focuses on changing his behavior, he will no doubt have an impact on many lives as he helps his viewers understand what it means to have a life with Christ.
