We’ve got another reason to get excited for the coming Easter season — UPtv is offering viewers almost 100 hours of Easter programming!
“For many of our viewers, watching these films is an Easter tradition,” said Crissie Miller, Vice President, Content Strategy, at UPtv in a statement. “By pairing iconic Bible favorites with heartfelt new premieres, we’re creating a viewing experience that honors the season’s message of faith and hope while continuing to offer fresh, uplifting stories our audience craves.”
The channel will be playing movies like THE TEN COMMANDMENTS and THE GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD, along with new movie WHERE THE WIND BLOWS, starring Trevor Donovan.
WHERE THE WIND BLOWS, based on a book by Caroline Fyffe, tells the story of a “hardened cowboy [who] puts his unfettered life on the open range on pause when he pretends to be a temporary husband for his late friend’s widow so she can adopt. The two go from strangers to something neither expected: a chance at love,” per a synopsis of the movie.

In an interview with Digital Journal, Donovan said working on the movie was “great,” adding, “If I could do one genre for the rest of my career, it would be westerns.”
“We filmed it in Montana in a beautiful country area, and it was just so much fun,” the actor continued. “I just loved the whole period piece back in the 1800s. I love that whole frontier story. I am hoping I can do a couple of more westerns.”
WHERE THE WIND BLOWS premieres on Easter Sunday.
UPtv will also rerun some holiday favorites, like CHRISTMAS IN AMISH COUNTRY, CHRISTMAS AT THE AMISH BAKERY and LOVE FINDS YOU IN VALENTINE.
The exciting new programming doesn’t end with Easter. Later in April, UPtv is also premiering new series SUGARCREEK AMISH MYSTERIES, which follows Cheryl Cooper, who moves to the small town of Sugarcreek after a failed engagement to manage a gift shop. There, she finds herself getting sucked into mysteries, which she solves alongside local law enforcement.
“We’re excited to return to Sugarcreek and bring viewers deeper into Cheryl’s world,” Miller said in a statement. “The success of our 2025 world premiere movie, SUGARCREEK AMISH MYSTERIES: BLESSINGS IN DISGUIDE, made it clear our audience connected with the warmth, mystery and sense of belonging at the heart of this story. With Easter as the backdrop for our series launch, the timing feels perfect to invite families back into this community for new adventures.”
SUGARCREEK AMISH MYSTERIES premieres April 23 on UPtv.
