It’s almost 2026, and as many start thinking about their New Year’s goals, Tim Tebow wants you to keep two things in mind: strategy and vision.

“Everyone starts out a year and says, ‘This is our goal, if this is what we want to do.’ But what if it’s not clear?” Tebow said in a recent Instagram video. “Then, as leaders, do you paint a vision that your team can see, and do they actually believe in it because you do, or is it just a strategy that, man, this is what we’re supposed to do? This is what we’re told on all the manuals…it follows the blueprint. Or would your team say, man, it’s so contagious, because the vision is so grand and they believe in it? It’s contagious to me. I want to be a part of it.”

“Strategy gets work done. Vision gets hearts aligned,” the Heisman trophy winner wrote in the caption of the video. “This December, don’t coast — prepare, reflect, and build the path that makes next year’s vision irresistible.”

But we get to celebrate Christ’s birth before we head into the New Year, and this Christmas season, Tebow encouraged his followers to slow down and reflect.

“Preparation is one way we steward our calling,” he posted.

“Before you rush into the next season, slow down. Look back with honesty. What did God stir in you this year? Where did He grow you? What did He teach you through the grind?” he added.

Both of those posts echo Tebow’s intention behind his new book, Look Again: Recognize Your Worth. Renew Your Hope. Run with Confidence.

“My heart for Look Again is that we would truly look again to understand our worth and our value. That we would fight the lie that some lives matter less, and then we would act on that,” he shared on “The Ed Mylett Show.” “That we would truly act on that. That when we would leave and we would go places, we wouldn’t look past people; we would see people.”

“Sixty-seven times in Scripture, it tells us that Jesus saw. He would see people, and He would meet their needs,” Tebow continued. “And He didn’t look past, He didn’t look beyond, He didn’t see the vulnerable and say they’re less valuable. He saw the vulnerable and cared for them and met their needs. And He didn’t care as much about comfort as He did compassion.”

As you consider you goals for 2026, remember that your vision is just as important as your strategy to get there.
