“CBS is gifting viewers an extra special holiday present this season, the brand-new EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND: 30TH ANNIVERSARY REUNION PT. 2,” a press release from CBS announced.
The statement continued, “This one-hour show gives viewers who loved the first special another opportunity to reminisce and revisit the laughter and joy from the original CBS series. The brand-new broadcast follows the success of EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND: 30TH ANNIVERSARY REUNION, which originally aired Monday, Nov. 24, with an encore presentation Friday, Nov. 28, garnering 10.08 million live plus 7-day multiplatform viewers across both broadcasts and streaming.”

Part 2 of the special will be made up of additional footage that wasn’t used for the initial reunion. Star Ray Romano and the sitcom’s creator Phil Rosenthal will host the program, which will also include “new wraparounds with their thoughts on returning to the reconstructed RAYMOND set and what it was like to reunite with their castmates,” per Variety.
“The new second special will also include classic old clips that were not aired, and outtakes from the original show that were not aired before,” the outlet continued. “And additional content will include not-aired interviews with guest stars, writers and producers giving their takes about the show’s creation and legacy.”
The initial anniversary special aired in November, featuring appearances from Romano, Rosenthal, Patricia Heaton, Brad Garrett, Monica Horan, and siblings Madylin and Sullivan Sweeten.
“I tried for a 20 year reunion and I tried for a 25 year reunion, but I can only say that the newest leadership at CBS was into it, and so that’s why we’re here today,” Rosenthal told People ahead of the first reunion special.
Romano added, “Yeah, we had trouble getting it made, but we always wanted to do it. And this one just came to be.”
The comedian and actor shared that, while many other beloved shows have decided to reboot and revive their series, the RAYMOND cast has never been into the idea.
“We never wanted to do the reboot,” he said, adding, “I don’t even think we approached the cast [about the reunion special] until we got the greenlight because we had just assumed they would be on board.”
EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND: 30TH ANNIVERSARY REUNION PT. 2 will premiere Monday, December 22 at 8 p.m.
