Katherine Schwarzenegger, wife of Chris Pratt, says she likes and needs to have her husband around.
This week, she shared a video of Pratt while he built a playhouse for his two daughters.
“I’ll never understand when women say ‘I don’t need my husband’ when I very much in fact do need my husband because who else would build our daughters a doll house?” she wrote in a text over the video.
Family is a top priority for the mom of three. In an interview last year, Schwarzenegger said she’d move out of Hollywood if everyone she loves did too.
“I can see myself moving anywhere that my mother, father and my siblings would also move with my husband and I and my children. So wherever that is, we can have a team huddle and all decide collectively where we’d like to go,” she said.

“I’d like to go anywhere where we can just be around a lot of animals, me personally. But I feel like I can get that fix sprinkled in with having my home base be around my family,” she explained.
Schwarzenegger said the most important thing to her is her family.
“There’s nothing that is more important to me than being able to be in close proximity to my parents and to my siblings,” she continued. “And to be able to have that for our children is such a huge blessing and a gift. A gift that I can’ get anywhere else.”
Schwarzenegger’s father, Arnold Schwarzenegger, enjoys seeing her become a parent.
“It’s nice to see your kids having kids themselves and to watch this new dimension,” he said in 2023.
“You see them growing up and you see them going to school and getting smart and getting their degrees, getting their jobs and all this, but now seeing them be a parent? It’s fantastic. It’s really great,” he added.
He said that his daughter often comes to his home because he has a lot of animals.
“It’s really fun to watch and hang out with her now and to see the way she’ll react to the kids because she is so great with them,” he explained.
In 2023, Pratt said, “I met Katherine, now it’s been five, maybe six years ago, and God has a fast-forward button. When it’s right — boom. You get hit.”
“You fall in love. You get married. Now we have two beautiful daughters to add to my family, and it feels really great,” he said.
This family is deeply committed and values their traditional marriage.
