Christian Music Stars Can’t Wait for Their Upcoming Movie

Brandon Lake and Phil Wickham shared their excitement for their upcoming documentary/concert experience, FOR THE ONE.

“I have a really exciting announcement. If you haven’t heard yet, but also just some more information about a really cool project that me and some friends have embarked on. It releases very soon, and so [I’m] really, really pumped. If you saw the title, then you know it’s FOR THE ONE, the movie, and I’m so excited and so are some of my friends that are a part of this movie to talk about it,” Lake shared with his fans.

“This thing we’ve been talking about for months, kind of like a year now — a year ago it felt like a pipe dream, and then we just got the right people involved who have been working hard to make this thing a reality,” added Wickham. “We’ve got this documentary about FOR THE ONE releasing in just about a week and a half. It’s crazy.”

FOR THE ONE is a concert experience and a behind-the-scenes look at the work worship leaders like Lake and Wickham put in to make their tours happen. It reveals the fun times and the hard times the pair experienced while on tour together, and they ultimately hope it helps audiences find the Lord.

“This documentary is for the one that we worship, but it’s also for the one in the theaters who needs to hear the Gospel; that God so loved the world,” Wickham said. “It really just feels like an extension of what we do, you know, preaching the Gospel, talking about Jesus, singing songs, [and] leading people in worship.”

“What they bring to an evening stadium is really exciting. Hopefully, we’ve captured it on film in a way that’ll be a really fulfilling experience for people. I believe that will be the case,” producer Ken Carpenter told Movieguide®. “And the movie really – I don’t know if this is the right term to use – but there is a bromance and the movie does, among other many things, kind of press on that and reveal that and show that there’s really something special with how God has brought together these two guys.”
