Former Psychic Warns Christians Against the Dangerous Message of Starseeds

By Movieguide® Contributor

In a recent podcast, a former psychic medium turned Christian, Jenn Nizza, was joined by another former psychic, @mustardseedhannah, to warn parents about a dangerous new social media trend, starseeds, that is luring children into demonic practices.

The starseeds belief is the ideology that everyone came from stardust and therefore is infused with divine light, which can be accessed to find the ‘true self.’ The hashtag for starseeds has reached just under 1 billion views.

“The starseed ideology is so dangerous because it pulls in people who already feel lost and it gives them a place to think they can flourish and… walk into their identity, ascend [and] grow,” Hannah said. “They tell you, you have this spark, and it’s part of the universe and you can change the universe through this spark. And… it really fuels people… who have good intentions, but are literally doing wickedness.”

The practice is especially dangerous because it promises to fulfill a desire that God placed within humans: the desire for the divine. Starseeds promises to bring practitioners to something greater than themselves through ascension; a counterfeit sanctification and community with God  that can only be found through belief in Jesus.

Hannah explained that starseeds is similar to Scientology, explaining that in both ideologies, “you have to depend on all these other entities and frequencies.”

“And in Scientology, they have weird terms to describe people who are not doing what they want, and that’s in New Age. And in starssed thinking they do the same thing,” Hannah continued. “They will literally say, ‘you have a dark entity on you,’ or ‘your chakras are blocked,’ or this or that. And it literally leads to madness.”

Nizza added that the starseed ideology appears to be something good and even Godly. She summarizes the center of the starseed message as, “I just want to help you” and “Hey, you’re just so special.”

“It’s just the devil masquerading,” Nizza explained. “So he comes and he attacks through your vulnerability, my friends, through the crack in the window, right? He slips in. The bible tells us that ‘the devil is roaming around,’ actually that he’s ‘prowling around seeking to whom he will devour.’”

“All divination is condemned by God,” Nizza later added. “The devil’s agenda is the same. His tactics are the same. He’s current. He’s active and he keeps up with the times. Se though his agenda is the same, he keeps pushing out his tricks just to get people ensnared and afraid and away from God and away from the Gospel.”

Hannah and Nizza are both keenly aware of the importance of keeping children away from these messages. They both practiced occult worship for many years after being ensnared by those beliefs as children.

Hannah points parents to Proverbs 22:6 which states: “start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”

“We should raise children up in the way that they should go,” Hannah said. “Does that mean they’re going to go that way? No. But we raised them up ‘in the way that they should go…’ When you raise a child up in the way that they shouldn’t go at all… that’s what they know.”

“We as human beings are born sinner. We’re born under the curse of Adam [and Eve] because, you know, they ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. And… people need to have that revelation of sin in order to realize that they need to be delivered from it. But when you’re a child, and you’re taught this ideology from your parent or a guardian… it literally becomes your [life],” Hannah continued.

“The same way that God speaks, and like, He spoke us into creation and He spoke the world around us into creation, parents are able to speak the life of a child into its being as you’re raising it.” She added.

Movieguide previously reported about Nizza’s podcast:

An ex-psychic recently discussed the “huge consequences” and terror she faced while engaging in the occult for decades.

“There was a lot of fear, anxiety,” Jenn Nizza said on the premiere episode of her new podcast “Ex-Psychic Saved.” “I was raising my daughter this way … in a house of demons.”

Nizza said she was embroiled in the “darkness of the demonic,” with her foray into that realm beginning when she was a young preteen.

“When I was 12, I started having these premonitions, and so there were these visions and dreams that came true, and they weren’t very profound, but very odd,” she said. “I was a kid. I had no idea what to make of it.”
