While there’s no official announcement for when FIRST STEPS will hit Disney+, the Marvel movie will likely stream around late October or early November.
Marvel Studios typically releases movies for streaming three months after their theater release date, Screen Rant reported. FIRST STEPS came out on July 25.
DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE came to Disney+ 97 days after its theatrical release, and CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD released after 103 days. THUNDERBOLTS* will likely come out this month since it was released in May.
FIRST STEPS will likely be available on Blu-Ray and DVD in October. Meanwhile, MCU fans can watch FIRST STEPS in IMAX, DOLBY CINEMA and normal movie screens.
Marvel has tried to produce a FANTASTIC FOUR movie several times, but all attempts failed.
Marvel president Kevin Feige said, “I think that there are no four characters that are more important for the history of Marvel. When Disney bought Fox, it was really an unexpected dream come true. It came at the perfect time, to help us launch into a new era.”
“They are Marvel’s First Family, and I really wanted to do them justice. There was still a bit of fear of being silly. In another time, some might consider the notion of somebody with a big, angular helmet walking through a city goofy. I consider it awesome,” Feige said.

Michael Chiklis, who played “The Thing” in 20th Century Fox’s 2005 and 2007 FANTASTIC FOUR movies, said he’s glad that the superhero quartet is getting attention now.
“There were a lot of people, I think, critically who got it wrong. They really maligned our films, and they were very underrated considering…they were very loved by the audience,” Chiklis said. “It was one of those cases where critics weren’t great to those films, but the audience was, and that still remains.”
“I’ve always sort of quietly gone like, okay, say what you want to say, but the people see it. And now all these years later, people are sort of acknowledging like, hey, these films are family-friendly, fun movies…they got a lot right,” he said. “They may be imperfect, but they’re really good movies.”
Movieguide®’s review of FIRST STEPS reports the movie is entertaining, engaging and heartwarming.
“It stresses the importance of fathers and mothers. THE FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS has a strong moral, pro-family, redemptive, patriotic worldview,” the review says. “The plot problem is solved by sacrifice, ingenuity and taking a stand against meaningless destruction.”
The movie is recommended for older children and up.
