HOME ALONE Star Goes on Tour for Christmas Season

By Movieguide® Contributor

Actor Macaulay Culkin is bringing in the Christmas season with a HOME ALONE: A NOSTALGIC NIGHT WITH MACAULAY CULKIN, a tour across the U.S. featuring an interview with the Kevin McCallister actor himself, a special screening and an open Q&A.

Culkin will reflect on “his experiences on the set [and] memories” and share “all the things about the movie,” TODAY’s Carson Daly said.

The event kicks off on Nov. 30. Culkin will stop in 14 cities across the U.S. in New York, Kentucky, Indiana, Wisconsin, Ohio, New Jersey, Illinois, Massachusetts and more.

“Tickets will be available for various presales starting next week, with the general sale beginning on Friday, Sept. 13. There will also be a limited number of VIP tickets available that include postshow photo ops with Culkin,” The Hollywood Reporter said.

A synopsis for the event reads, “Relive the iconic scenes and heartwarming moments from Home Alone on the big screen, and then dive deep into the behind-the-scenes stories and insights with Macaulay Culkin himself. Hear about his experiences on set, his favorite memories from filming, and his take on why this movie has become such a beloved holiday classic. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or simply love the holiday spirit, this event promises to be an unforgettable experience for all.”

In 2015, Culkin participated in a parody of HOME ALONE called JUST ME IN THE HOUSE BY MYSELF. In it, he plays the adult version of Kevin. He overshares his traumatic past with his rideshare guests.

“[You’re] all by yourself in the house for a week. I had to fend off my house from two psychopath home invaders. I was just a kid,” he says in the parody, recalling, “this bald weirdo dude chasing me around.”

Last year, HOME ALONE was one of the most-watched Christmas movies. Movieguide® reported:

New Christmas movies like CANDY CANE LANE joined holiday classics like ELF, HOME ALONE and IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE among the top 15 most-watched Christmas movies of 2023…

Movieguide® wrote, “HOME ALONE has a strong message of reconciliation and portrays a fairly close-knit family. Furthermore, Kevin appears to be in the habit of attending church. Best of all, Kevin learns from his experience. He learns not to be afraid and to be thankful for his family.”
