IRISH WISH Takes Top Spot in Weekly Netflix Rankings
By Movieguide® Contributor
Netflix’s IRISH WISH is a smash hit with viewers, dominating the streamer’s weekly reports.
“In its weekly Top 10 report of most watched titles, [Netflix] revealed that IRISH WISH [is in] the top spot with 25.5 million views,” MSN reported. “This made the rom-com the most-watched English-language movie of the week.”
Variety also reported on the rom-com’s stellar numbers, writing, “[IRISH WISH] amassed 698.8 million minutes watched in its first week in release.”
IRISH WISH stars Lindsay Lohan, who also served as an executive producer on the project.
“She’s very involved with structuring the image for the film,” Netflix’s director of original film, Christina Rogers, told Bustle. “She meets with our directors and helps make that decision; she has a lot of input in her wardrobe and how she presents [the film] on social media.”
The movie’s producer team also included Brad Krevoy, who also produces the Movieguide® Award-winning WHEN CALLS THE HEART.
A portion of the Movieguide® review reads:
IRISH WISH is silly fun. The script actually has several laugh-out-loud moments. Also, Director Janeen Damian keeps things popping with some surprisingly good physical comedy. She inspires Lohan to deliver the fun she showed in her heyday, with a vibrant supporting cast. IRISH WISH has a strong Christian worldview with positive references to God and church, and a highly positive view of marriage. There’s only brief upper male nudity and a light profanity that’s immediately corrected by the priest. IRISH WISH is enjoyable fun for all ages.
In addition to making her acting comeback, Lohan is also enjoying life as a new mom. She and husband Bader Shammas welcomed son Luai in 2023.
“It’s a whole new, different kind of love you thought you could never experience,” the actress said of motherhood.

Seven months after welcoming her first child, Lindsay Lohan is reflecting on how motherhood has changed her.
“Everything’s changing,” she told E! Online. “It’s a learning process — I’m having a different go at it. Figuring out what I want to do and how I want to do it.”
The actress spoke further about what she hopes to teach her son in an interview with Page Six.
“I’m really grateful because I’ve gained so much wisdom from the things that I’ve gone through,” Lohan explained. “I can’t wait to share that with…my son when he gets older.”
Lohan has also shared the joy she’s found in motherhood over social media. One post reads, “I am so proud of what this body was able to accomplish during these months of pregnancy and now, recovery. Having a baby is the greatest joy in the world!”
