Almost three years after being crushed by a 14,000 pound snowplow, Jeremy Renner is sharing how the near-death incident has ended up being a blessing in his life.

“Well, look, there’s so many blessings kind of bestowed onto me because of being tested to your limits,” Renner told Fox News. “You know when you know, and I guess I got tested to a limit and still got through. I know what a bad day feels like. I don’t expect to have any of those ever again, you know? It’s that simple.”

This view on the accident is incredible given the injuries that Renner had to overcome. On January 1, 2023, Renner stepped in front of his Snowat snow plow to save his adult nephew who was in danger of being crushed by the machine. Renner ended up being pulled underneath it, suffering extensive injuries including over thirty broken bones and blunt force trauma to the chest.

Incredibly, Renner was discharged from the hospital less than two weeks after the incident and even walked the red carpet in April of that year to celebrate the premiere of his show RENNERVATIONS. At the time, Renner attributed his amazing recovery to the support from those around him.

“It’s easy to do when you have the love and support that I have,” Renner said. “Doing it alone would have been impossible. A lot of people, some are here, were a part of saving my life and keep me alive to breathe and move through.”

“It took a lot of people,” he continued. “It starts with my family, my daughter, then a big part of my recovery was this show, it set a big milestone for me to get better, to make sure that all our hard work was not for naught. “For me, it was easy, I had somewhere to go, somewhere to point, and I had a lot of love, man.”

The accident, however, will have a lasting impact on Renner’s body, as now that he is nearly three years past the event, he knows that he will always be in recovery, fighting for his health.

“I’ll always be in recovery, but I feel pretty dang good. And in the dark, I look pretty good too. Not bad, I’m pretty handsome in the dark,” Renner quipped during an interview with Fox News.

Praise the Lord for the amazing recovery that Renner has experienced and the positive mindset he has taken away from the event. Not many people could go through an accident like that and talk about it as a blessing afterward.
