Lindsay Lohan Gushes Over Motherhood: ‘So Grateful’

MEAN GIRLS star Lindsay Lohan is “so grateful for every moment” of motherhood.
“I’m so grateful for every moment of it, just every second,” Lohan told GOOD MORNING AMERICA. “Every morning waking up and running to grab my son and just looking at him and when he looks me back in the eyes, I’m going to get emotional. It’s just the most beautiful. I’m just so grateful every day.”
She continued, “We always move so fast, so I feel like that’s the one thing I’ve learned over time, taking time for myself and really just cherishing every moment.”
Lohan and her husband Bader Shammas welcomed their son Luai last year. The couple are preparing for their son’s first birthday this summer.
“I always just want to be with family. And I feel like as you get older in life, less is more,” Lohan said of the family’s birthday plans. “So yeah, just spending it together. And for my son, I don’t know. We’re gonna do something fun. I’m gonna get him a bouncy house. And it’s fun for him.”
Lohan celebrated her first Mother’s Day as a mom this year.
“I’m loving the little things with my baby, from walks and baths to our feeding times together,” she wrote in an Instagram post marking the holiday.
Lohan spoke more about how her life has changed now that she’s become a mom, telling PEOPLE that “playing with [her] son and spending time with him” is the biggest part of her daily routine.
“Right now he just loves being outside and taking walks, so I just try to get him outside as much as I can because he loves looking around,” she shared.

On Mother’s Day, the actress posted, “It’s my first Mother’s Day and I couldn’t be more grateful to be a mom. It’s been the biggest blessing life has offered me.”
Lohan’s mother, Dina Lohan, told PEOPLE that she cried when she first held her grandson and called him a blessing from God.
“She was always meant to be a mother. Bader took to the role of daddy like a pro as well,” Dina said of Lohan and her husband. “They are a perfect team.”
