A new Marvel cartoon for children is on its way to Disney Jr. and Disney+.

Titled MARVEL’S IRON MAN AND HIS AWESOME FRIENDS, the series will feature some of Marvel’s most famed characters including Iron Man, Ultron, Swarm and Absorbing Man. The voices actors bringing these characters to life include Tony Hale, Vanessa Bayer and Talon Warburton.

“MARVEL’S IRON MAN AND HIS AWESOME FRIENDS follows the adventures (and misadventures) of best friends and super geniuses, Tony Stark, Riri Williams and Amadeus Cho as they work together to solve problems both big and small and protect their city,” a synopsis reads. The characters also have special suits that will give them superpowers to perform tasks.

Mason Blomberg will voice Tony Stark (Iron Man), Kapri Ladd plays Riri Williams (Ironheart) and Aidyn Ahn voices Amadeus Cho (Iron Hulk).

The Disney Jr. Instagram account announced the casting of the villains in a recent post.

“Villains spotted! Tony Hale, Vanessa Bayer, and Talon Warburton join Marvel’s Iron Man and his Awesome Friends as Ultron, Swarm, and Absorbing Man 💥” the caption reads.

Fans in the comment section were excited about the news. “Tony Hale?! No way!!!! He is one of the funniest actors ever ever since I’ve been watching his movies like TOY STORY 4 as Forky and INSIDE OUT 2 as Fear. He’s going to do awesome in this TV show and I can’t wait to watch it,” one fan said. Another person added, “Are we really getting the Disney Junior MCU now😂 I am so here for it, loved the spidey show.”

“It’s really fun playing a villain because it gives me permission to yell at people and get paid for it. Yes, please,” Hale joked in a statement about his character.

Bayer said “It’s an honor” to voice Swarm, adding, “Often, I get typecast as a nice person, so it was really fun to get to play a villain.”

Warburton, whose son loves superheroes, joked, “Now I just have to figure out how to explain to him that his daddy is a bad guy!”

The new series isn’t the first Marvel Disney show for young children. SPIDEY AND HIS AMAZING FRIENDS, which is currently on the platform, was recently renewed for a fifth season.

“Marvel’s SPIDEY AND HIS AMAZING FRIENDS is what happens when two storytelling powerhouses — Marvel and Disney Jr. — come together to introduce the next generation to the world of Superheroes,” said President of Disney Branded Television Ayo Davis. “We love this show, and it’s been incredible to see how much kids do too. Team Spidey’s adventures aren’t slowing down anytime soon, and we can’t wait to bring even more stories, characters and action-packed fun for years to come.”

The new IRONMAN AND HIS AWESOME FRIENDS will premiere later this summer.
