Wonder What Dinner With Jesus Would Be Like? Singer Shares Hilarious Take

“Praise the Lord” singer Micah Tyler is diving into comedy in a recent Instagram skit where he pretends to have dinner with Jesus.
“I think water’s gonna be fine for us two,” he told the waiter before turning to an imaginary Jesus. “I checked. They’re lenient. No shoes, no problem, you’re good!”
“For him, what is the holiest burger you have here?” he asked the waiter. “Swiss. Makes sense.”
He proceeded to order a bacon cheeseburger for himself but then remembered who he was eating with.
“No bacon! Sorry. My bad.”
“Weird request, Do you think we could get just some fish and bread and like, a lot of to-go boxes?” he asked the waiter.
To Jesus, he chuckled, “You know what I’m talking about.”
Once the food arrives, it’s time to say grace.
“I’ll pray I guess. Actually, do I just—” he said, looking toward Jesus, “I guess, thank you. Thanks for this. So, amen.”
Picking up a mustard bottle he said, “How much faith am I putting on this burger right now? How many mountains and rivers is this thing right here? You know what I’m talking about? He knows what I’m talking about.”
Once he got the bill, he looked at it with surprise.
“Who paid for this? Y’all, Jesus paid it all. The whole thing! He’s too much,” he joked.
Tyler previously dipped into comedy with his Rosetta Stone “Christianese” advertisement.
“Hi, I’m regionally semi-successful recording artist Micah Tyler…With Rosetta Stone Christianese you’ll learn words like “transparency…quiet time” and “baby Christian,” he joked.
Movieguide® recently reported on Tyler’s devotional book:
Singer Micah Tyler, wrote his debut devotional book called, WALKING FREE: TAKING SMALL STEPS TO A BIG GOD.
In the book, Tyler aimed to encourage his readers to take steps away from the world and take steps toward the good things that God has to offer including the knowledge of knowing Jesus deeper.
“This is a Jesus help book,” Tyler stated. “This is not a me having everything figured out, me being on the other side of the finish line and looking back at everyone, saying ‘OK, I figured it all out. Here’s exactly how we do it.’” It’s me saying, ‘Hey, if I’m going to be in the trenches and you’re going to be in the trenches, why don’t we walk together? Why don’t we take these steps measured together and do it in a realistic, practical way?’”
Better known for his voice, Tyler is the recipient of a K-LOVE award, two BMIs and a GMA award.
Currently, the artist is on his People Like Us tour with Emerson Day.
