New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye just got a haircut for a good cause.

An X video from the NFL shows Maye’s wife, Ann Michael, who he wed in June 2025, buzzing the quarterback’s hair to raise money for the Boston Children’s Hospital.

“Like this?” she asked as she held the clippers poised over her husband’s head.

Maye got his hair shaved as part of the Granite Telecommunications annual “Saving by Shaving” event, which raised $4.1 million for the hospital, CBS Boston reported.

Using his platform for something greater than himself isn’t anything new for Maye, as he often speaks about his faith.

The young quarterback led his team all the way to the Super Bowl this year, and even though the Patriots lost to the Seahawks, Maye remained hopeful due to his faith in Christ.

“I try to take advantage of this platform that I’ve been given,” he told the media before Super Bowl LX, “given by the good Lord. I try to have a constant reminder that you’re my purpose, you’re my passion, and always finding something that I was trying to chase. I was trying to chase the passion in life, and not having it turn out to be football, and knowing that there’s always been a constant in my life, and that’s been my faith.”

He hopes his fans see his faith shine through in how he responds to circumstances on and off the field.

“You know, knowing that no matter at any time, you know highs, lows, times where I feel like I need prayers, sometimes where I feel like I’m at the highest moments to talk and knowing that my relationship with the Lord, and you know, a follower of Jesus Christ is the biggest thing in my life,” the athlete declared, before adding, “keeping that at number one, and knowing that that is what’s got me here and what helps me get here, and what I can shine light on to others, and knowing that hopefully…I can help lead them to Jesus Christ, and knowing that how their life can change and what it can do for them.”

It looks like whether he’s throwing the football or shaving his hair, Maye wants to do his best to use his platform for good.
