‘Praise the Lord’: Leah Remini Says Scientology Victims Are Finally Being Heard

By Tess Farrand, Associate Content Editor

Hollywood actress and former scientologist Leah Remini praised the Lord after the arrest of actor Danny Masterson.

“Finally, victims are being heard when it comes to Scientology! Praise the lord! This is just the beginning Scientology, your days of getting away with it is coming to an end! #justice #scientologytheaftermath,” Remini tweeted.

The KING OF QUEENS actress’ statement comes after the arrest of Masterson (THAT ‘70S SHOW), who was charged with the rape of three women. The landmark arrest could indicate that the cult will face legal repercussions for its abhorrent practices.

According to the Associated Press, if Masterson gets convicted, he could be looking at 45 years behind bars.

Scientology is an unbiblical, anti-Christian cult. Remini has attempted to expose the evil practices of the cult by speaking out against the religion that often ensnares entertainers.

Remini left Scientology after years in the cult and wrote a book about her experience.

In 2015, The Christian Post reported:

Remini and her sister were raised in the organization, their mother being a full-time, dedicated member. It caused a rift and sense of resentment between Remini and the church, given that Remini’s mother spent so much time with the organization.

With that in mind, Remini and her family, including her mother, decided to leave the organization behind once and for all. It was not an easy move, given that Scientologists who leave are often seemingly cut off from those who remain within the organization. Families may be separated, friends may be lost, and even though it was extremely difficult, Remini does not regret her decision.

After her exit from Scientology, Remini reconnected with Catholicism and baptized her daughter in the church.
