Singer Jon Bon Jovi Saves Woman’s Life

While filming a new music video, singer Jon Bon Jovi noticed a woman standing on a dangerous part of a pedestrian bridge and went over to help bring her to safety.
The act of courage was caught on surveillance cameras and shared across the internet. In the video, Bon Jovi is seen talking to the woman who seemed poised to jump, before helping her over the guardrails and back to the safe part of the bridge. The pair were then seen talking some more before walking away from the bridge together.
“A shout out to @jonbonjovi & his team for helping a woman on the Seigenthaler Ped Bridge Tue night,” the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD) wrote on X. “Bon Jovi helped persuade her to come off the ledge over the Cumberland River to safety.”
“It takes all of us to help keep each other safe,” added MNPD Chief John Drake.

While Bon Jovi is best known for being a legendary rock star, he has put significant energy in his personal life towards helping those in need. He runs the JBJ Soul Foundation which provides resources to those affected by hunger, poverty and homelessness.
The organization has provided meals, housing and other resources to thousands of people across the nation since the Soul Foundation began in 2006.
“I’m happiest if I like what I do for a living. I’m doing right by my family and I’m making the world just a little bit better,” Bon Jovi said when explaining why he runs the foundation.
“It’s a partnership,” Bon Jovi’s wife, Dorothea, added. “When we see injustice or people suffering, [we] want to help. We’re very blessed, and we have the ability to do that.”
Bon Jovi’s focus on family and giving back has helped keep him grounded and humble throughout his epic career.

“We work hard at it, but we enjoy each other and we never fell for the trappings of what celebrity can do,” Bon Jovi continued. “We’ve witnessed that happen over the years to people that were close to us and people that we knew from afar. It’s just what I do; it’s not who I am. I write songs. I happen to be very good at performing them. That’s it.”
