FOR GREATER GLORY
FOR GREATER GLORY is a memorable movie about the resistance against the socialist president of Mexico in the 1920s who tried to shut down all the Christian churches forcibly, including shooting innocent people. Despite too many subplots, FOR GREATER GLORY is a very important, captivating movie extolling religious liberty, but caution is advised for some violence. In theaters, June 1.
SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN
This is not a children’s fairy tale, but it’s a redemptive story designed more for teenagers and adults with some overt Christian, religious content and metaphors, including a scene where Snow White recites the Lord’s Prayer. In the story, Snow White and the Huntsman team up to defeat the evil queen trying to kill Snow White, the rightful heir to the throne. The movie turns out to be a well0-executed cross between the NARNIA movies and THE LORD OF THE RINGS. In theaters, June 1.
Ridley Scott returns to science fiction in this R-rated movie set in the same world as the ALIEN franchise (Ridley Scott directed the first ALIEN movie and hasn’t directed a science fiction movie since 1982’s BLADE RUNNER). In the story, the star ship Prometheus follows a star map to discover something that could destroy mankind. In theaters, June 8.
In MADAGASCAR 3: EUROPE’S MOST WANTED, Alex the lion and his zoo friends get back together for another adventure, this time hiding in a circus to avoid the animal police. MADAGASCAR 3 has some failing plot points, but overall is redemptive, fun, energetic, and entertaining, but there’s some lying and scatological humor, so caution is advised for younger children. In theaters, June 8.
ROCK OF AGES
No, it’s not about aging rock stars coming to Jesus. It’s based on the Broadway musical of the same name and stars an ensemble cast with rock music from the 70’s and 80’s. In theaters, June 15.
THAT’S MY BOY
When a female teacher seduces a 13-year-old, the result is a baby raised by the teenager. Adam Sandler plays the dad who, now grown, enters back into the life of his son. This R-rated comedy is sure to contain lots of material that will offend media-wise viewers. In theaters, June 15.
ABRAHAM LINCOLN, VAMPIRE HUNTER
In case you weren’t tired of vampires in the movies, Hollywood gives us Abraham Lincoln. Based on the novel of the same name, Honest Abe has to stop vampires who are looking to take over the country. The original novel apparently uses vampirism as a metaphor for slavery. In theaters, June 22.
Pixar brings us the story of a young woman who’s a skilled archer and must destroy the spell that has been imposed on her family. In theaters, June 22.
SEEKING A FRIEND FOR THE END OF THE WORLD
With an asteroid heading to Earth and the end of the world imminent, a man searches for his childhood sweetheart. This comedy stars Steve Carrell. In theaters, June 22.
TO ROME WITH LOVE
The latest comedy from Woody Allen is about a group of people in Rome, including some Americans, and the romances, adventures, and predicaments they find in “the Eternal City.” In theaters, June 22.
An experienced male stripper teaches a young man “the arts of partying, picking up women, and making easy money.” Expect lots of objectionable content in this R-rated comedy/drama. In theaters, June 29.
PEOPLE LIKE US

Ted is a young boy’s teddy bear who comes to life. But now that the boy is a grown man, the teddy bear’s drinking and partying get in the way. From FAMILY GUY director Seth McFarlane, so media-wise moviegoers probably should stay away. In theaters, June 29
