If you missed seeing THE CONJURING: LAST RITES in theaters, never fear — the final installment in the popular franchise is coming to HBO Max.

“The ninth and supposed final film in New Line Cinema’s CONJURING horror franchise will arrive November 21 on HBO Max,” Variety reported

THE CONJURING: LAST RITES follows real-life paranormal investigators and husband and wife Ed and Lorraine Warren, played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga.

Movieguide® gave LAST RITES a positive review, praising the movie’s “strong Christian, biblical, pro-family worldview,” as well as its core themes of “family, marriage and helping people.”

LAST RITES premiered in September, bringing in $83 million at the box office in its opening weekend — a franchise record. The movie is also said to be the last installment in the CONJURING franchise, but that doesn’t mean the Warrens’ story is over.

Variety reported that a CONJURING series is in the works at HBO Max, with Nancy Won on board as showrunner, writer and executive producer. Her previous credits include SUPERNATURAL, JESSICA JONES and LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE.

Plot details about the show have not been revealed, but the outlet shared that Warner Bros. has said the series “will continue the story established in the feature films.”

In addition to the HBO series, a prequel movie is reportedly also in the works. Hollywood Reporter writer Borys Kit posted about the project on X, writing, “True news: short film director Rodrigue Huart in talks to direct THE CONJURING prequel.”

Kit called the project “a go movie for New Line,” as LAST RITES grossed close to $500 million worldwide.

So, with a series and a prequel movie in the works, can fans expect to see Wilson and Farmiga reprise their roles as the Warrens?

“Far as we know, there’s nothing else that they want from us,” Farmiga told PEOPLE. “The Warrens have reached the end of the road.”

Wilson added, “We have no idea what they want to do after this.”

Both actors have spoken positively about their decade-plus onscreen partnership, with Farmiga saying, “It just grows. It’s like any relationship. What we’ve been through together, what we’ve had to deliver together, has been pretty stressful and demanding.”

“What you look for in a scene partner — that you don’t get all the time, to be honest — is the same sense of both fun and passion,” Wilson explained. “I’m deadly serious and passionate about the work. And yet, as soon as the camera’s off, we can have a good time.”

He continued, “Those equal senses of adventure and passion are important. We find that in each other and we relish that because you’re in a safe space.”

Wilson and Farmiga’s CONJURING journey might be over, but between new projects set in the movie’s universe and LAST RITES’ arrival on streaming, it looks like the Warrens’ story will continue to be told.
