WHEEL OF FORTUNE Helps Pull Off This Sweet Proposal

The classic game show WHEEL OF FORTUNE helped one contestant’s boyfriend pull off the ultimate surprise.
A video posted to Instagram shows the moment when a contestant named Rhea guesses the phrase “Will you marry me?” as her boyfriend walks out to propose.
“One WHEEL OF FORTUNE contestant went home with a new fiancé! 💍😍 The game show helped Rhea Mathew’s boyfriend propose to her while she was filming the program.” Entertainment Tonight explained in the post.
The post continued, “‘Robin, the boyfriend of former contestant Rhea, reached out for our help in asking her a big question,’ Vanna White explained, noting that along with announcer Jim Thornton, the show ‘created a bit of a ruse, making Rhea think she was back to celebrate WHEEL’S 50TH.'”

One person was thankful to see an uplifting story. “With all the horrible things going on in the world currently, it’s nice to see a happy video. Congrats to Rhea and her future husband ❤️” she said.
WHEEL posted the engagement to its Instagram as well. Rhea commented, writing, “AHHH thank you thank you thank you for making this into a reality!!! beyond even my wildest of dreams!!”
WHEEL OF FORTUNE has been bringing joy to people’s lives since it began in 1975. That’s a big reason why co-host Vanna White keeps coming back.
“I enjoy it. I love coming to work,” White told Parade of her time on WHEEL OF FORTUNE. “I love watching people win. I love changing people’s lives. There’s a lot of stuff on TV that is so dramatic, and this is a half-hour of family fun and escape from so much. It’s such a positive family show. I love being part of that. So I’m not ready to leave.”
