MUPPETS NOW is a new original program streaming on Disney+ featuring the Muppet character created by the late Jim Hanson. “Fever Pitch,” the second episode of the new series, follows Scooter as he rushes to place the most recent content on the Muppets’ streaming service while overcoming obstacles.

The episode begins by introducing Scooter who’s trying get the latest content for the Muppets’ streaming service up and running. Scooter has to work through many obstacles as Fozzie Bear keeps sending him pitches for new series to get the content uploaded on time.

The first segment is Pepe the King Prawn’s new game show. The show features two contestants from different places in the United States. The idea is to quiz them on topics from the arts, sciences and humanities, but Pepe changes the games and quizzes at the last second to make it wackier and funnier.

The second segment is a cooking show hosted by Beverly Plume. The show always features the Swedish Chef cooking a particular dish as a celebrity chef cooks the same dish. In this episode, the celebrity chef is Danny Trejo. Chef Trejo decides they will make chicken mole tacos. As Chef Trejo demonstrates how to make his version of the taco, the Swedish Chef struggles to get his dish prepared and ready for tasting.

The third segment is the Field Test, Muppets Lab. Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker give the audience some insight into fire and then set different objects on fire to see how they will burn. Honeydew and Beaker use their new electronic assistant to help them with their experiments.

The last segment is Lifestyle with Miss Piggy. In the latest episode of her fashion and lifestyle blog, Miss Piggy gives the audience tips on health and fitness. However, she doesn’t do it alone. Actors Taye Diggs and Linda Cardellini join her to do some yoga and suggest healthy foods and snacks to eat.

The “Fever Pitch” episode wraps with Scooter finishing his workday and waiting for his dinner to be delivered.

MUPPETS NOW: Fever Pitch starts off with a bang with Pepe’s gameshow. The rest of the episode is just as funny and continues to make twists and turns in each segment. While there are some educational nuggets tucked into the episode, most of the content is really nonsensical and just used to make viewers laugh. Each segment contains multiple Muppets that most viewers will know and love.

However, one segment focuses on fire and burning things, so parents should exercise caution with younger children. Also, one segment features some yoga poses.
