“Welcome to Gitmo” is the second episode of the popular Cable TV series THE LAST SHIP, a series filled with Christian and patriotic faith and values.
In this episode, the crew of the U.S. Destroyer Nathan James commanded by Capt. Chandler is searching for food, fuel and medical supplies. Because of the plague in the United States, they go to Gitmo to get all three.
On the way, they find out many of their family and friends have died. So, they stand on the ship and pray for their families and friends. They don’t know they may have a traitor in their midst.
When they arrive at Gitmo, the place looks deserted. One officer says it doesn’t look right. When they get to the prison camp, they split into three teams, one to get fuel, one to get food and one to get medical supplies. Capt. Chandler leads the team to get food. They are startled when a Gitmo guard suddenly appears and says they’re walking into a trap. The isolation ward of the Muslim terrorists survived the plague, so now Al Qaeda extremists want to capture the destroyer. The American team seems trapped. There is a gun battle.
