Emmanuel Acho Replaces BACHELOR host Chris Harrison for Season Finale: ‘God Guides Me’

Former NFL linebacker Emmanuel Acho will replace longtime bachelor host Chris Harrison to host the “After the Final Rose” special for the series finale of THE BACHELOR.
Harrison temporarily stepped down from his position after he condemned cancel culture.
Acho will take over for Harrison and sit down with bachelor, Matt James.
“It’s both an honor and privilege to be hosting ‘After the Final Rose,'” Acho said. “This is an incredibly pivotal episode on one of the most storied shows in television history.”
Acho, a professing Christian, launched the successful YouTube series called “Uncomfortable Conversations With a Black Man” to address racial tensions in America and promote unity. Academy Award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey and FIXER UPPER stars Chip and Joanna Gaines have appeared on the series.
Harrison announced he would step down for the time being after he encouraged people not to assume the worst about show frontrunner, Rachael Kirkconnell.

Chris Harrison, the host of the popular reality TV show THE BACHELOR on ABC, stepped down from his role after he came under fire for encouraging people to show grace and understanding amid the growing cancel culture epidemic.
“This historic season of ‘The Bachelor’ should not be marred or overshadowed by my mistakes or diminished by my actions,” Harrison said, referring to the show’s first black bachelor, Christian Matt James. “To that end, I have consulted with Warner Bros. and ABC and will be stepping aside for a period of time and will not join for the ‘After the Final Rose’ special.”
On Feb. 9, Harrison appeared in an interview with former contestant and the first black bachelorette, Rachel Lindsay, to discuss the controversy around current contestant Rachel Kirkconnell.
‘We all need to have a little grace, a little understanding, a little compassion,’ Harrison said. ‘Because I have seen some stuff online — this judge, jury, executioner thing where people are just tearing this girl’s life apart and diving into, like, her parents, her parents’ voting record. It’s unbelievably alarming to watch this.’
Despite the drama, Acho will have the first opportunity to speak with James about Kirkconnell and the controversy.
Acho introduced himself to “Bachelor Nation” via Twitter.
“5 facts about me!” Acho wrote. “1: My name is Emmanuel Chinedum Acho 2: I am Nigerian American, My middle name, Chinedum, means ‘God guides me.’ 3: I was drafted in the NFL by the @Browns 4: I taught myself how to play the piano. 5: I went to the @UTAustin.”
Aside from his sports career, Acho also dedicates his time to calling Christians to close America’s racial divide.
“This is my Esther moment, for such a time as this,” Acho told The Christian Post. “Because black culture is different than white culture and the black church experience is different than the white church experience,” he said. “I know because I go to both.”
