Sadie Robertson Huff Responds Fans Who Unfollowed Her Because She ‘Flaunts’ Post-Birth Body

By Movieguide® Staff

Three months ago, Sadie Roberston Huff and her husband, Christian Huff, welcomed their first child, Honey.

Throughout her pregnancy and after giving birth to her daughter, the former DUCK DYNASTY star has been candid about the toll it took on her mental and physical state.

However, Robertson Huff pointed people to their identity in Jesus and recently shared her excitement over fitting back into a pair of jeans.

Robertson Huff, 24, also used the post to respond to some fans who took offense at her posts postpartum celebrations.

“I rarely read my dms but recently I did. The first DM I opened was from a mom who felt I should know that her & her daughters were unfollowing me. Which is totally fine to unfollow me, but it was WHY that got me,” Robertson wrote. “She went on to say that it is bc of how much I brag & flaunt my body & how hard it was for her to see my body after giving birth’ bounce back.’

“I could tell her about parts of me that haven’t healed yet. I could tell her about the bumps that I still have covering half of my body since birth bc of a new allergy triggered by a stressful labor,” she added. “I could’ve told her things my doctor has told me, & the counselor I saw helped me through. I could’ve told her how a lot of things I don’t tell people, but I didn’t.”

Instead, Robertson Huff said she wanted to focus on the miracle of “growing life, growing in love, growing in endurance, growing in consistency, in faith, in hope…growing in many things. I hope those are the things you saw.”

She concluded: “Ladies, I just want to challenge you not to become insecure bc of what someone else chooses to or not to post. Our confidence should not be found on the measure of how good or bad someone else is doing.”

Movieguide® previously reported:

Sadie Robertson Huff spent the first 40 weeks of her pregnancy planning and prepping for labor. She made a birth plan that started by her water breaking on its own while she was out walking with her husband, Christian. She would labor at home for a few hours before she would check into the hospital and have the baby quickly with no epidural.

“None of that ever happened,” Huff says in the latest episode of her Whoah That’s Good podcast. “But, everything that I prayed for happened.”

Huff elaborated: “One prayer was that honey would be strong. The next prayer was that she would be sweet because the verse that her name is kind of after is in Proverbs 16, where it says, ‘Gracious words are like honey, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones,’ and we love that honey in and of itself is so sweet, but it’s also so strong. We prayed [for her] to be sweet and strong, and we also prayed that she would have a lion inside of her lungs that would be fighting for her, so when she’s born that she would just breathe out the praise of God. It says in Psalm 8:2, ‘Out of the mouths of babes and infants, You have established strength,’ and I love that.”
