New James Webb Telescope Images Display God’s Majesty In His Creation
By Movieguide® Staff
Psalm 19:1: “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.”
NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope captured its first full-color images of the universe, which display the majesty of God and the beauty of his creation.
“[This is] why we want to study the heavens, so we can observe the awesome glory of our God,” Rob Webb, an aerospace engineer with Answers in Genesis and a former NASA employee, said in response to the stunning images released July 11 and 12.
The dawn of a new era in astronomy has begun as the world gets its first look at the full capabilities of the NASA/ESA/CSA James Webb Space Telescope. The telescope’s first full-colour images & spectroscopic data were released today. Read more here https://t.co/kdD6ew5306 or👇 pic.twitter.com/BXYYHq8yY9

Scientists called the telescope a successor to the 1990s Hubble Space Telescope. NASA and their partners, the European Space Agency and the Canadian Space Agency, will record images in the infrared spectrum at new distances.
According to NASA, one cluster of galaxies, known as SMACS 0723, is approximately 4.6 billion light-years from Earth.
“The awesome, amazing images just continue to show the amazing works of our awesome God, of our awesome creator,” Webb said.
Webb also emphasized God’s word, quoting Genesis 1 for the origin of the galaxies, while NASA claimed that they were created “a billion years after the big bang.”
“God created the heavens and the earth – let’s remember to base all of our thinking, from the very beginning, Genesis 1:1 without compromise,” he said.
Others marveled at God’s creation in the new images, including president emeritus of World Vision, Rich Stearns.
“What an amazing reminder of the majesty and power of our Creator God! Wow!” he tweeted.
