LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG WORLD Shares Story Behind Zach and Tori Roloff’s Growing Family

By Movieguide® Contributor

A new season of LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG WORLD is about to drop, and a new trailer gives fans a behind the scenes look at the birth of Tori and Zach Roloff’s third child.

The video shows the couple heading to the hospital after her water breaks, and reveals that Tori had to undergo “major abdominal surgery” to give birth to Josiah, now 5 months old.

Like his siblings before him, Josiah was born with achondroplasia, a form of dwarfism, which drastically complicates Tori’s deliveries.

Prayerfully, Tori made it through and brought home a healthy little boy.

The trailer also shows Josiah being introduced to his sister Lilah, 2, and his brother Jackson, 5, as well as his grandparents, Matt and Amy Roloff.

Movieguide® previously reported on Josiah’s birth:

Tori and Zach Roloff welcomed their third child after suffering a heartbreaking miscarriage last year.

“Welcome to the world sweet Josiah Luke!” the couple posted on Instagram. They also shared that he was born at 9:02 am on April 30 and weighed 7 lbs. and 6 oz.

“You surprised us all by coming early, but also the wait felt like a lifetime!” the Roloffs continued.

The LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG WORLD couple are also parents to four year-old Jackson and two year-old Lilah.

While the couple was ecstatic to add another child to their family, they have not forgotten the loss of another child last year.

“It’s been exactly one year since we found out we lost our sweet baby,” Tori posted shortly before giving birth. “I still haven’t fully recovered from that experience, and to be honest I don’t know that I ever will. Having a miscarriage was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to face personally, and I really could not have gotten through it without God’s promise, or my husband and kids.”

“I sit here typing this one year later and VERRRRRY pregnant with a healthy baby. I wasn’t forgotten,” she continued. “I am so grateful for God’s goodness and the gift we’ve been given after such a time of grief. I’ve been so much more appreciative of the aches and pains of pregnancy because I’ve realize just how much of a gift it truly is.”

Movieguide® also reported on how the Roloffs are transitioning to a family of five:

Zach and Tori Roloff recently shared details about the newest addition to their family, baby boy Josiah Luke.

The couple already shared Jackson, 4, and Lilah, 2, and they worried about whether or not the kids would get along.

“We were preparing ourselves for jealous moments or for things to kind of go awry every once in a while,” Tori shared. “But they literally haven’t. They’ve both been so affectionate and just in love with Josiah and it’s been so much fun to watch.”

“They are slightly obsessed with him and it’s adorable,” she continued. “They’re just both very concerned about where he is, what he is doing. They take turns feeding him the bottle and want to bring him blankies and binkies.”

Zach added, “We’re really stoked. It was awesome watching Tori once again become a mom and just watch her honestly do great and welcome a new baby like no one’s business.”

The couple also talked about the possibility of having more children.

“I’d never say never because already I can’t believe that those first few days are already over. This one’s been more emotional this time just because I went into it with the mindset that this is most likely our last baby,” Tori shared.

“It just changes your outlook on the hospital and your time spent there,” she continued. “We’ve always had the best nurses and doctors. And so it’s just sad to think that, ‘Oh, we’re probably not going to be back in this situation ever. We’re done with this part of our life.’ And now we get to just enjoy our three babies. Never say never, but I think I’m saying never.”
