Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson reminds himself of God’s vision and plan despite the struggles his team has faced this season.

“Don’t forget… God’s vision for you is greater than someone else’s for you! That’s why He gave the vision and gift to you!” Wilson stated, per Athletes Corner.

In their last two games, the Broncos have achieved the unthinkable and taken the win in the last few seconds of the game.

On Sunday night, the team secured a 21-20 win over the Minnesota Vikings.

Despite losing to the Miami Dolphins by 50 points in week three of the regular season, Wilson and the Broncos refuse to give up.

After their win against Minnesota, head coach Sean Payton explained, “With each win, you gain more confidence…Guys have bowed up, rolled up their sleeves and gone to work. That’s all you can do in this league. You find out a lot about people. I feel like we, organizationally, as a staff and as a team, you get to see the grit…I’m proud of the fight and the way these guys are prepared.”

Linebacker Jonathon Cooper added, “[I’m proud of] the way that we’re attacking these games, the way that we’re handling each other, the way that we’re finishing them. In the fourth quarter, we’re bringing it. When we come out in the second half, we’re coming out with a different type of swag than we have in the beginning and past [games]. I just couldn’t be more proud of us.”

Wilson shared a video on X, saying, “We just believe in each other. We knew we were going to win this game. That’s how we felt. That was our mindset.”

He added, “We were relentless. But I think more than anything else, we haven’t done anything yet. We got a lot more to do. We’re going in the right direction though. And that’s the exciting part.”

The quarterback frequently shares his faith on X. In a Nov. 8 post, he reminded his followers, “God chose you for such a time as this!!!”

“With God ALL things are Possible!” he posted on Nov. 11.

Movieguide® previously reported on Russell Wilson:

In 2022, Wilson was traded to the Denver Broncos. Although Wilson has not had the same success as with his previous team, he is making an impact for Christ off the field.

… Despite a loss to the Seahawks in 2022 after joining the Broncos, Wilson continued to glorify God.

“They may cheer for you. They may boo you. They’ll love you one day, and they’ll hate you the next. That’s sports. At the end of the day, I’m going to keep competing. I’m going to keep battling. I know who I am. First of all, I think for me, I’m just grateful God’s given me the chance to play this game,” he said in a post-game interview,

Wilson also shared his appreciation for the Seahawks organization.

“I gave everything I had every day [with the Seahawks]…and God brought me somewhere else,” Wilson stated. “I’m here, I’m in Denver and I’m excited about it. I’m excited where we’re going. I’m just grateful. I give the glory to God because He’s given me the gift of playing this game.”

“It’s all for His glory, and His glory alone,” he added. “It’s not for anybody else’s. I play for an audience of One, and that’s just for Him. And so, I’m just grateful I get to be with these guys in this locker room. I’ve been around some amazing teammates in the past, and I’ve got some amazing teammates currently.”
