This HOME TOWN Special Guest Calls the Napiers ‘Nicest People in the World’

Erin and Ben Napier brought a very special guest in for a recent episode of HOME TOWN — artist Mary Engelbreit.
“TONIGHT on a new #HGTVHomeTown, Mary Engelbreit visits to help with a special project, a really rough house for a couple trying to DIY it all when their son hits the brakes and asks for our help on their behalf,” Erin posted on Instagram.
Fans quickly filled the comments section to share their love for Engelbreit, whose work has appeared in greeting cards and books as well as on calendars, t-shirts, figurines and fabric.
“Mary Englebert!?! She’s had such an influence on my style. My mom was a huge fan of hers in the 90s, and I still resonate so much with her designs,” someone wrote, per TV Insider.
Another added, “Oh my goodness, I love Mary Engelbreit and have things of her sprinkled all throughout my house, including my daily calendar!”

Engelbreit spoke to EntertainmentNOW about her appearance on HOME TOWN, saying, “[The Napiers] are the nicest people in the world. Exactly the way you think they would be.”
“My son and I were both very impressed with how down the earth they are, and what you see on that show is what you get,” she continued. “That’s who they are — very, very nice people. And so is everybody associated with the show.”
Engelbreit called Erin a “wonderful artist” and gushed about the Napiers’ hometown of Laurel, calling it a “darling small town” that feels like “a little oasis of peace in this day and age.”
HOME TOWN’s ninth season is currently airing, and the Napiers don’t plan on stopping any time soon. The couple just signed a multi-year deal with HGTV, renewing HOME TOWN for 32 more episodes.
