The service was watched by nearly 7 million people across 225 countries.
Worship artists like Taya Smith, Kari Jobe, Matt Redman, and more joined the movement. Pastors and preachers like Christine Caine, Sadie Robertson Huff, Louie Giglio, and founder Jennie Allen also spoke at the event.
“Gather25 was a resounding roar for His Church. Heaven touched Earth during these 25 hours together,” the organization shared on social media. “All over the world lives are now forever changed, faith is strengthened, and we’re ignited to take the name of Jesus to everybody everywhere.”
“THANK YOU, LORD! Words cannot describe every moment, every prayer, every miracle, and every God-sized dream that was born in these 25 hours,” the organization said in another post. “The only worthy response to something like this is to give thanks, and ask ourselves what God would have us do, and who He would have us reach.”
Creator of the event and founder of Gather25, Jennie Allen, wrote on her social media her emotions after the 25-hour event.
“HE DID IT! I felt a fool so many days in the last 2 years. But we are not fools to put the full weight of our trust in God!!” she began.
Allen continued: “To all you crazy faithful fools who trusted him beside me beginning with my family and team but moving to hosts, speakers, donors, prayer warriors, volunteers, storytellers, worship leaders, production teams, tech geniuses and the thousands of others of you around the 🌎 that said yes when you had no idea what this actually was…. it was an honor to trust God beside you!!!!”
Fellow pastor from Malawi, Pastor Mmbongya, reflected on the event: “We thank Jesus for the global Church gathering in Malawi at the Dzaleka refugee camp. We have seen the Holy Spirit move through prayer and worship, with great encounters.”
