While at the upfront presentations in New York, Amazon MGM Studio announced who will take the lead in the new series SPIDER-NOIR: Nicholas Cage.

“SPIDER-NOIR is a live-action series based on the Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir. SPIDER-NOIR tells the story of an aging and down on his luck private investigator (Cage) in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero,” a synopsis from Amazon MGM Studios reads.

The series will be available in both black-and-white and color when it premieres.

Prime Video announced the news on Instagram as well, sharing a photo of Cage in costume.

“Your first look at Spider-Noir, a new live-action series starring Nicolas Cage, coming 2026 in both black-and-white and color,” the caption reads.

Marvel fans are thrilled by the casting choice.

“Nic Cage as Spiderman Noir just……..feels right,” one person said in the comments.

Another wrote, “HE LOOKS SO COOL.”

“Oh this looks SO good,” another commented.

In addition to Cage, other cast members include Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson, Abraham Popoola, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez and Jack Huston.
