Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp just won his second Super Bowl.

His first came in 2021 with the Los Angeles Rams, and on Sunday night, he secured his second with the Seahawks.

Kupp, who cites 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 in his Instagram bio, had six receptions for 61 yards for the night.

After the game, the athlete spoke about his journey from Los Angeles to Seattle and how he has focused on the “here and now.”

“I’m right here in the now,” Kupp emphasized. “And like being with this team, being with these guys, and the journey that this has been, it’s been so special. And so I’ve got nothing but gratitude for being here. Nothing but gratitude for the guys who embraced me. And we got a team where we love one another. And it was special from the very beginning, and that was a very different but very unique thing.”

Before the Super Bowl, Kupp spoke about the “ups and downs” he’s experienced throughout his NFL career and how God’s been present through it all.

“My journey to be here has had a lot of ups and downs, a lot of times where I said, I’ve been lonely, I’ve been by myself, been in the weight room by myself,” he shared. “I’ve just felt like there aren’t really people alongside me, and all the doubts and, you know, hearing lies and things that are spoken over you and into your life.”

“And you know, for me, the faith that I had, the belief that I had, because I just believe that, you know, the things that I was doing were for a greater purpose than myself,” the wide receiver continued. “And there was a point behind it, the joy that I felt playing this game, just because I felt like I was just made to do it, and being able to glorify God through that. It’s like, man, this is going to make it all worth it. And so it sustained me through all the highs and all the lows. So yeah, truly wouldn’t be here today without it.”

After the trophy ceremony took place, Kupp got to hoist his second Lombardi trophy up high with his wife and three children.

“It Was Written,” he posted alongside photos from during and after the game.

Kupp’s career is a testimony to perseverance, resilience, passion, gratitude and the sustaining power that comes from trusting God, no matter what.
